Hello and welcome gradek83!

Thank you for the photos.

If the bootloader does not start because it has been overwritten or erased during a faulty firmware upgrade you have to program it again.
This can only be done using the JTAG port and our flashtool.

As you own a FT232RL chip based adapter it should not be a big challenge.

You will find the bootloader in our database and a well documented procedure at the NAS2000 Wiki.

There is a unbricking guide for the Giganas which also applies for the QUAD.

Your adapter seems quite interesting. Can you provide us a link where you purchased it?

Kind regards,
HWguru

Hi,
there is nothing more to be said.
1. you have to try to reach the bootloader via 3.3V serial port adapter - unbricking guide
2. if the bootloader does not work it has to be flashed using JTAG - bootloader programming through JTAG Wiki article
3. when the bootloader can be reached the parts of the firmware can be programmed - the files are transferred through network and the commands to the bootloader are sent through serial port (as for 1.)

All this can be done using the FT232R based adapter by using the correct connectors on your nas mainboard.
